College Social Networking Project

Hey all -

So --- I am working with a pretty talented team on a social networking project for college students. Yes I know I know - social networking is a bit in the past - But we want to offer more, think flash happy : professor reviews, travel information, a marketplace, funny videos, calendaring, etc. (much more of course).

What kinds of things would you want if you were in college? Don't you want video, voip and all that new technology - no longer trying to use an site that markets to everyone from 12 year olds to 60 year olds?

Just wanted to see if there were any thoughts...

you guys are all so addicted that you never have time to post anything to this tribe and this includes me.I guess I'm not as bad as I thought cause I only check in ona few sites on a regular basis and the rest get ignored...singles sites are starting to waste my time cause I'm still single.The pagan/druid tribes are really cool and have helped me with my peace of mind.The Na tribes..dont have much to say..some of the "fan" type tribes are so dead its pathetic...so this ios my very boring comment for now.....marlea

Men should get free listings on dating sites

Ok, let's check this out.
Traditionally, and well, pretty much all the time, the guy pays for the date he goes on. To be a "gentleman". Ok, so an active guy dater on a dating site meets several women (if he's lucky) and goes on say 4 dates a month.

So, ball park an average date at 100 bucks that's 400 a month at just four and then he has to PAY a dating site 20-30 bucks a month just to do that.

I think it's really unfair and guys should get a break on the costs or even get it free.

What about a site that give the guy TWICE the time for the same payment (ie 2 months for a one month cost).

Would that help out?

How much are you spending in your dating life a month?

This game can be expensive !

I just joined this tribe cause the description sounded way to much like me.I belong to over 60 websites,at least 24 of them are singles sites,at least 10 blog sites.I belong to my space,freewebs,yahoo 360',textamerica,live journal and way too many to mention.Even with belonging to all those singles sites I'm still single..theres nobody in Ashtabula worth too much and I'm actually 50 east of cleveland..so..Just wanted to introduce myself....marlea
